Subsea cable services
SEAWORKS bases its subsea cable services on the shallow draft, specially built cable-laying vessels "Nordkabel" and "Fjordkabel" as well as barges for work at sea and on inland waterways. With its collaborative partners, SEAWORKS is a market-leading supplier and installer of almost all of the submarine communications cable in Norway.
SEAWORKS supplies and installs subsea cables from all the mayor cable suppliers in Europe. These are demanding customers with which SEAWORKS has a close and extremely good working relationship.
Working with some of the best skills in the world, SEAWORKS carries out inspections and installations using ROVs, lengthening of power and communications cables, maintenance and repair, trenching of cables and pipes, diving tasks and seabed mapping.

Offshore
In addition to being a cable-laying vessel, C/V Fjordkabel is also a highly functional supply ship with a draught of only 2.5 m. Its large open deck, dynamic positioning, and flexible 75 Tm hydraulic crane with a reach of more than over 20 m, make the vessel extremely suitable for tasks such as seabed exploration, ROV, diving and repair tasks, as well as freight of special equipment.
Seabed mapping
In a collaborative venture with Scan Maritime we have installed a multibeam echosounder (EM1002) onboard the C/V Nordkabel. The area-coverage system puts us in a position to be able to map the seabed for selecting the optimum cable-laying route. Light seismic equipment can also be made available.
